Donations of Artifacts

The Bradford County Historical Society accepts objects that were used by a Bradford County resident or were made in Bradford County. We are unable to accept items from outside of this area unless a direct connection to Bradford County can be established.

If you are interested in donating these types of items and live locally, please call the historical society Curator or stop by the historical society during regular business hours. If you don't live within a reasonable driving distance, contact the Curator and provide a description of the material, the name of the person that it belonged to, related stories, and pictures of the item.

If we accept the item for our collection, the Curator will contact you to confirm that we are interested. If we are not able to accept the item, we will suggest another local museum that may be interested in receiving it.

Always write down any information that you know pertaining to the item such as where it came from or any other identification that would help us when using the item in future museum exhibits.

We prefer to have you deliver items in person when possible to avoid any shipping problems.

If you do need to use a shipping service, please pack the items carefully and send the package by USPS Priority Mail or another comparable shipping method to ensure safe delivery. Be sure to have a tracking number placed on the item as well as Signature Confirmation.

Mail the package(s) to:

Bradford County Historical Society

Att: Curator

109 Pine Street

When we receive your package, our staff will mail you a Deed of Gift form with a description of the gift and your contact information. Please sign the form and return it to this address. If you visit the Museum, we will provide a form for you to sign at that time.
