Newspapers
The earliest newspaper coverage in Bradford County predates the creation of the County. A newspaper was published as early as 1797 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and at that time present Bradford County was part of Luzerne County. These early Luzerne County newspapers cover early residents and events in Bradford County mostly along the Susquehanna River where settlement began. The newspapers can be accessed online due to the courtesy of the Wyoming County Historical Society.
