Donations of Research Material
The Bradford County Historical Society accepts research files, archival material or photographs pertaining to families, businesses or organizations from Bradford County. We are unable to accept items from outside of this area unless a direct connection to Bradford County can be established.
If you are interested in donating these types of items and live locally, please call the historical society Library Clerk or stop by the historical society during regular business hours. If you don't live within a reasonable driving distance, contact the Library Clerk and provide a description of the material, the name of the person that it belonged to, related stories, and pictures of the items.
If we accept the material for our collection, the Library Clerk will contact you to confirm that we are interested. If we are not able to accept the material, we will suggest another local library that may be interested in receiving it.
Always write down any information that you know pertaining to the material such as where it came from or any other identification that would help us when using the material in our library.
We prefer to have you deliver material in person when possible to avoid any shipping problems.
If you do need to use a shipping service, please pack the material carefully and send it by USPS Priority Mail or another comparable shipping method to ensure safe delivery. Be sure to have a tracking number placed on the item as well as Signature Confirmation.
